What is MOPS?

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. MOPS International recognizes that the years from infancy to Kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship, and are filled with unique needs. MOPS exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban and suburban, stay-at-home and working, teen, single, and married moms with different lifestyles, who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!

MOPS International is a non-denominational Christian organization that reaches out to all mothers of children from birth to age six. MOPS International exists to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader, in the name of Jesus Christ. MOPS is a place to relax with friends, a place to learn, a place to be creative, and a place for your children to play and be well cared for in a MOPPETS program!

Currently, over 2,700 MOPS groups gather in churches throughout the United States and around the world to meet the needs of more than 110,000 women!

A typical MOPS meeting includes:

* Visiting with other moms in a casual environment

* Enjoying food and refreshments

* Listening to a speaker presentation

* Participating in a small group discussion

* Making a simple craft

MOPS is a wonderful way to get the support, friendship, and fresh air that all moms need to be the best that they can be!
